Pokemon Benayla Version chapter two

And here is the second chapter of Pocket Monsters Benayla Forever as promised. Continuing on from previously lets get this show on the Road To Benayla.

Just for anyone who didn't see the first chapter yet here's this:

Characters:

Ben(“Benayla”):
An upstart Pokemon Trainer who has just set out across the state of Iowa on his Journey.

Shayla:
Ben's Rival and long time (One sided) love.

Taiora:
Ben's Starter Pokemon. Pikachu.

Eevee:
Shayla's Starter Pokemon.



To recap, last time Ben returned to Iowa after two years to begin his Pokemon Journey alongside Shayla, his long time (More than) crush. However, while waiting for he who would give them their Starter Pokemon Ben wanders into the cornfield nearby and is found By a wild Pikachu. As the Mouse Pokemon is about to attack the white man appears and captures it.

Afterward the two Trainers receive their Starter Pokemon, the catch being that Ben's is the Pikachu he encountered, who he nicknames “Taiora”.

After the first battle between their two Pokemon Ben and Shayla leave on their Journeys. What awaits them? Standby to find out.



Title: ROUND TWO ON ROUTE ONE!


Continuing directly from previously Ben and his Pikachu Taiora have just set out on their Pokemon Journey across Iowa and have just left Waukee and are walking down the road from a Mcdonalds (Between the path I used to take between Waukee and Clive there is just a road and a Mcdonalds right before it).



Taiora: So where are we headed now?

Ben: The next town over, the main event of our Journey is defeating this State's Gym Leaders.

Taiora: Gym Leaders?

Ben: Most of the towns here have Pokemon Gyms I assume.

Taiora: You wanna work out?

Ben: Very funny, the Gyms are actually where the strongest Pokemon Trainers of these towns await challenges from whatever Trainer is smurf enough to battle them. Those who are victorious earn the Gym's Badge. At least eight Badges earns one the right to take on the Pokemon League.

Taiora: And this Pokemon League is?

Ben: A challenge toward the four strongest Trainers in the State of Iowa, defeating all four of them consecutively earns a Trainer the title of Pokemon Master.

Taiora: That makes training Pokemon sound a lot like a sport when you say “Best Trainers in the State”.

Ben: Come to think of it I guess you could call it that.

Taiora: So what does that make me and whatever other Pokemon you obtain? Am I just your Soccer Ball for the World Cup?

Ben: Not at all, you're my friend, more than my goal I want to help any of the Pokemon I end up with the best they can be. I'm not a user.

Taiora:....You really mean that?

Ben: Of course I do.

Taiora: Anyway, which town are we headed for now?

Ben: Let's see, if I remember correctly the town in this direction is Clive.

Taiora: And who would be the Gym Leader of this “Clive”?

Ben: I have no idea. The good news is Gym Leaders stick to one Pokemon Type. So if you've got an advantage we'll be set.

Taiora:....Define Pokemon Type.

Ben: You cannot be serious.

Taiora: I'm not.

Ben: Okay then, continuing on as we were told before we left I'll need more comrades than just you my friend. In addition to eight Badges a Trainer needs at least six Pokemon on hand. Those are the two requirements for a Pokemon League Challenge.

Taiora: I'm well aware of that much, but where exactly do we go for that?

Ben: I found you in a cornfield, I'm sure other Pokemon exist in similar places.

Taiora: Need I remind you that I'm the one who found you.

Ben: My point is valid, there are trees near here right? So that's where we'll look first.

Taiora: Whatever man. But you got scared when I came after you.

Ben: Come on.

(Eventually the two of them are just faced with an open road)

Ben: The fact that there are no cars here means that if we're lucky we'll find what we're looking for.

Taiora: Well I don't see any cars, but I also don't see any Pokemon around here, we're in the middle of nowhere.

Ben: Which is the safest part of nowhere.

Taiora: Safest? You sure you're up for trying to become a Pokemon Master?

Ben: That isn't what I meant. Look.

Taiora: Huh?

(A Nidoran appears in the middle of the empty road)

Taiora: What's that?

Ben(Checks Pokedex): Nidoran, The Poison Pin Pokemon. According to what I'm reading those horns of its secrete venom. Must be a Poison Type.

Taiora: And you want me to battle it don't you?

Ben(Shuts Pokedex): You got it.

Taiora: So let me get this straight, you want me to be the best I can be so you're pitting me against a venomous bunny rabbit right?

Ben: This isn't the time for stupid jokes Taiora, let's get serious.

Taiora: Fine.

(The Mouse Pokemon approaches Nidoran)

Nidoran:....What's your problem?

Taiora: I've come to face you in battle....NOW TAKE THIS!

(He Thunder Shocks Nidoran)

Nidoran:....That hurt! Okay asshole, you wanna fight? Here we go!!

(Nidoran Double Kicks Taiora)

Taiora: Oh yeah?

(He uses Thunder Shock again)

Taiora: NOW BENAYLA!!

Ben: Here we go!

(He throws a Pokeball at Nidoran which is repelled)

Nidoran: I'm outta here.

(Nidoran cheeses it)

Ben: Damn it.

Taiora: That didn't work.

Ben: Yeah, that much is clear.

Taiora: So I'm guessing the search continues.

Ben: Exactly.

(They continue walking)

Taiora: So when do you wanna resume the search?

Ben: We wait for a Pokemon to find us.

Taiora: That'll take too long. Don't you have a better plan?

Ben: I was wondering, can you smell other Pokemon nearby?

Taiora: No......

Ben: I see.

Taiora: So again, what's the plan?

Ben:....We look everywhere we can.

Taiora: I'll say it again, we're in the middle of nowhere.

Ben: Which again is the safest part of nowhere, what I meant earlier was that weaker Pokemon will be here because of that. And that's where we start. Pokemon are strongest when raised from the ground up.

Taiora: I see. But what I don't see is any other Pokemon.

Ben: Well I hear something.

Taiora: What?

Ben: The sound of no one caring.

Taiora: Shut up, I thought you said to drop the stupid jokes.

Ben: Hold that thought.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: We're entering the foliage now.

Taiora: You mean the trees?

Ben: Yes, come on.

Taiora: Why not just do that from the beginning?

(Ben enters the brush nearby and Taiora follows)

Ben: Alright, the moment you see something blast it with electricity.

Taiora: That'll send every Pokemon nearby running.

Ben: What do you want from me?

Taiora: Hold up, we found something.

Ben: What?

(Nearby, a Mankey comes down from a tree)

Ben: Good job spotting it.

Taiora: So what is it?

(Ben pulls out the Pokedex)

Ben: Mankey, it's called The Pig Monkey Pokemon, this one's a Fighting Type.

Taiora: Which means?

Ben: That it's underpowered but effective when it needs to be, let's go.

(Taiora stands in front of Mankey)

Mankey:.....

Taiora: I don't want any trouble, just come quietly.

Mankey:....

Taiora: Well?

(It chucks something at Taiora and leaves)

Ben: That didn't work either.

Taiora:....As soon as I can see I'm kicking your ass!!

Ben: Here.

(He hands Taiora a towel)

Taiora(Cleans himself): Thanks.

Ben: Come on, our Journey continues.

Taiora: Can I ask you something?

Ben: What?

Taiora: What's your plan for after this Journey is over? Let's say you do become a Pokemon Master, what comes afterward?

Ben: Well, if anything I wanna be with Shayla.

Taiora: I thought you didn't like her.

Ben: What gave you that idea?

Taiora: She's your Rival. I don't really care about her myself. Come to think of it what am I suppose to do after all of this?

Ben: We've just started, why are you thinking about the end already?

Taiora: You're right, let's go.

(They keep walking and after three hours reach a place called “Wind Field Park”)

Taiora: Finally we're off the road, can we stop for lunch now?

Ben: Good call.

(He pulls out two cheese sandwiches from his backpack and they eat)

Taiora: So come to think of it this looks like a good place to capture Pokemon. What do you think?

Ben: Yeah, as soon as we stock up on provisions we're hitting the grass.

Taiora: Alright, but first I need to find a restroom.

Ben:...And now that you mention it so do I.

(And so, after a rest room break the two set off into Wind Field Park in search of Pokemon)

Ben: See anything?

Taiora: No I don't.

Ben: Me neither, given the time of year I thought we'd see something by now.

Taiora: Same here (Twitches) wait.

Ben: What?

Taiora: We're not alone.

Ben: Again what?

(Shayla appears)

Shayla: I take it you've yet to capture any Pokemon?

Taiora: That's correct.

Ben: Taiora.

Taiora: Well it's true, but not for lack of trying anyway.

Shayla: Well I've got one.

Ben: Just one?

Shayla: That's more than what you've got.

Taiora: In that case let's have a rematch.

Ben:......

Shayla: You're kidding right?

Ben: No, let's battle.

Shayla: Fine.

(She unleashes the Nidoran she captured)

Taiora: Nidoran?

Ben: Not again.

Shayla: I take it you've seen one already?

Nidoran: This guy tried to capture me before you did.

Shayla: Oh really?

Taiora: So you're the same one huh?

Nidoran: Alright, let's go!

(She tries to Double Kick Taiora and he grabs her leg)

Taiora: You think I'd fall for the same attack twice?

Ben: Do it!!

(Taiora uses Thunder Shock and Nidoran puts her paw on the ground)

Nidoran: Right back at you.

Shayla: Scratch it.

Nidoran: Right.

(Nidoran's Scratch is countered by Taiora's Tail Whip)

Ben: One more Thunder Shock.  

(Taiora Thunder Shocks Nidoran, knocking her out)

Shayla:..What just happened?

Taiora: I just knocked out your Nidoran, what are you gonna do about it?

Shayla: I'll show you.

(She recalls Nidoran and unleashes Eevee)

Taiora: We meet again.

Eevee: Looks that way.

(She rams Taiora)

Taiora: Take this!

(Both Pokemon clash Tail Whips)

Ben: Shock it!

(Taiora Thunder Shocks Eevee)

Eevee: I see you've gotten stronger, so why don't I use that against you?

Taiora: Huh?

Eevee: Let me feel that one more time.

Taiora: If you insist.

(Both Pokemon use Thunder Shock)

Ben: What?

Shayla: I taught Eevee how to use Mimic, anything your Pokemon can do she can do better now.

Eevee: Yeah.

Ben: Quick Attack.

(Taiora Quick Attacks Eevee)

Shayla: Thunder Shock again.

Eevee: Okay.

(She blasts Taiora with more electricity)

Ben: Taiora.

Taiora: I can tell you've been training, that blast hurt more than it should've.

Eevee: Hardly, that just proves how weak you are.

Ben: Give it one more jolt.

Shayla: Double Team.

(Eevee evades Taiora's Thunder Shock)

Shayla: Now Quick Attack.

Ben: You too.

(They both ram each other)

Shayla: Finish it off!!

Ben: Get up Taiora!

(Eevee jumps above Taiora)

Eevee: Now die!

(Eevees fails to move and hits the ground)

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: Must've gotten Paralyzed from earlier.

Shayla(Picks up Eevee): Fine, you win, we're leaving.

Ben: The battle wasn't officially finished so let's just call it off.

Taiora: You suck, you know that?

Ben: You got enough experience points from Nidoran didn't you?

Taiora: Whatever.

Shayla: Anyway, we're out of here.

(She returns Eevee to her Pokeball and leaves)

Taiora: And now I'm tired again(sits down).

Ben: Let's search around here a little longer, when I capture a Pokemon let's find a place to camp out.

Taiora: Sounds like a plan.

Ben: Alright, let's go.

(After half an hour the two are unsuccessful at locating anymore Pokemon)

Ben: Damn, there's a candy machine nearby, let's take a break.

Taiora: Yeah.

(As they head toward the candy machine a Caterpie emerges from it with a Hershey bar)

Taiora: What the hell?

Ben: Let's see now.

Ben's Pokedex: Caterpie, The Worm Pokemon. It uses its suction cups to climb trees without tiring. It is usually found in foliage eating leaves.

Taiora: That's not a leaf.

Ben: You thinking what I am Taiora?

Taiora: Yeah.

(As the Worm Pokemon finishes the chocolate Taiora stands before it)

Caterpie:.........

Taiora: TAKE THIS!

(He Thunder Shocks Caterpie)

Ben: Perfect Taiora, now lets go!

(He throws the Pokeball at Caterpie, which it escapes from)

Ben: Okay, let's try this again. Come on!

(He throws the Pokeball at Caterpie which fails once more)

Caterpie:...If you really want me to come with you all you had to do was ask.

Ben: Seriously?

Caterpie: Well, can you do me a favor first?

Ben: What?

Caterpie: I really like those Fritos in that machine, but they're too high up for me to get too before someone sees me, can you get them for me?

Ben: Alright.

Taiora: You two are a piece of work, you know that?

Ben: You're not too far off yourself.

Taiora: Fair enough. Just get him his corn chips. And I'll take Star burst.

Ben: And another bag of Fritos for me.

(After obtaining the food for everyone the three of them sit on a bench)  

Caterpie: So tell me, what are two guys like you doing out here?

Taiora: He's my Trainer, we're traveling to take on Iowa's Pokemon league.

Caterpie: Seriously? Man, I've always heard about that and to me it sounds extremely difficult, but challenging, don't get me wrong.

Ben: And you my friend? Don't you have a goal in life?

Caterpie: It's not that I don't but.....

Ben: But?

Caterpie: When I told the other Bug Pokemon they laughed at me.

Taiora: What is it?

Caterpie(Sticks his head in the bag and pulls it out): I wanna be a Rock Star.

Taiora: What?

Caterpie: Singing on stage underneath the starry sky, fans dancing, the fog machine, everything. My dream is to be a Rock Star.

Taiora: Well that does sound unorthodox for a Bug Pokemon.

Ben: I agree, but regardless that sounds like a great dream.  

Caterpie: You seriously think so?

Ben: Yeah. If that's what you want I'll do the best I can to help you.

Caterpie: Seriously? Thanks.

Ben: Alright, let's go.

Taiora: Yeah, our Journey continues.

Caterpie: And I'll come with you guys.

Ben: Alright, let's go.

(Ben throws the Pokeball at Caterpie again, catching it)

Ben: Alright, my first Caught Pokemon.

Taiora: Yeah.

Ben: Wormy.
