Pokemon Benayla Version chapter nine

Once again the next chapter of Pokemon Benayla Version appears.



Characters:

Ben Lagnese:
A Pokemon Trainer on his Journey through Iowa striving to become a Pokemon Master. And for something else.

Taiora:
Ben's Starter Pokemon. A Pikachu who takes shit from no one.

Wormy:
The first Pokemon Ben captured. A Metapod with a dream of rocking and rolling all night and partying every day.

Harold:
A Poliwag that Ben captured. A thrill seeker who once caused Taiora to wipe out on a surfboard.

Fern:
A Bulbasaur that Ben and Taiora met and captured in a laundry facility.

Ember:
A Charmander that joined Ben's team after his sister's first boyfriend released it for losing a battle with Harold.

Shayla Maxwell:
Ben's Rival and one sided love.

Eevee:
Shayla's Starter Pokemon.



During the previous chapter of Pokemon Benayla Version our hero stopped at a laundry facility to wash his clothes. There he met yet another High School friend of his, Brydget Johnston. After a brief conversation Ben is informed of a street Tournament that will be taking place nearby. And decides to participate as a means of Pokemon Training.

Afterward Taiora the Pikachu is seen talking to a Bulbasaur nearby. The two discuss Ben's love for Shayla and the Seed Pokemon decries it as a dead end path. Despite this the Poison Type joins Ben's team to help him become a Pokemon Master and Ben nicknames his new Pokemon “Fern”. With that they head to the Tournament.

During the first battle Ben meets yet another familiar face from his school days. Brandon Prevor, the first boyfriend of his younger sister. The battle begins with Ben calling out Harold and Brandon using Charmander, who had been defeated in the first round the previous year. Due to his Type Advantage Harold defeats the Lizard Pokemon and Brandon releases it.

After a dejected Charmander mentions living in the woods Ben decides to invite the Fire Type to join his team. And after defeating his next opponent with Charmander Brandon appears and requests it back. However, having reached its limit with Brandon Charmander medium rares its former Trainer and stays with Ben.

After winning the Tournament Ben accepts the prizes and begins down Route 28 for Norwalk and his next Gym Battle.

Having experienced a big day Ben and his Pokemon pack up and bid farewell to West Des Moines. What awaits our hero? Find out right now.


Ben: Well Taiora, on to Norwalk. Although I've never been there.

Taiora: How do you know we're going the right way?

Ben: I got directions from Brydget.

Taiora: Right, so what kind of Pokemon am I up against when we get there?

Ben: No idea.

Taiora:..............

Ben: Anyway Taiora, I'd like to get another Pokemon before then. So be on the lookout.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: What?

(They see Shayla up ahead)

Taiora: I would've thought you left already.

Shayla: I watched you in that Tournament. Why battle a bunch of stupid teenagers?

Ben: I won anyway. My Pokemon got stronger and I got two good prizes.

Shayla: Whatever. If you seriously think you can become a Pokemon Master you're going to have to be stronger than that. But congrats for winning I guess.

Ben: And where are you off to?

Shayla: Same place as you are.

Taiora: Then why don't we go together?

Shayla: No thanks. If we're seen together people might think we're dating or something. Remember what happened in High School?

Ben: I wonder about that.

Shayla: Bye.

(She leaves)

Taiora: She's aware of your feelings right?

Ben: Yeah. That's why we're where we are.

Taiora: You've got a long way to go with both your goals.

Ben: I know that Taiora. Let's go.

(They start down the path)

Taiora: So when you told her how you felt I take it that's when things went bad?

Ben: No. That's not what happened.

Taiora: Then what is?

Ben: Many things happened after that. Leading to where we are now.

Taiora: Why do you put up with her and keep walking down this road?

Ben: It's the only road I'll allow myself to walk. The road to Benayla.

Taiora: I see. Well back to what we were doing I don't see or sense any Pokemon around here.

Ben: I don't either. So let's keep going.

Taiora: Fine.

(Their walk continues)

Taiora: How much longer until we reach Norwalk?

Ben: No idea. It should be just straight ahead.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: What?

Taiora: Am I the only one who hears that?

Ben: Hear what?

Taiora: That sound.

Ben: What are you talking about?

Taiora: The sound of no one caring.

Ben:......Shut up.

Taiora: Seriously. It doesn't feel like we'll be seeing any Pokemon around here. So there we go.

Ben: Well even so we can still try our best to get some training in. Look over there.

(A Pidgey is seen flying through the air)

Ben: I thought you said you didn't sense anything.

Taiora: Worth mentioning. You're seriously going to attempt to capture that thing?

Ben: No, we're just going to train. Ready?

Taiora: A bird?

Ben: Thunderbolt!

(Pidgey evades Taiora's Thunderbolt and runs off)

Ben: Try to be more precise next time.

Taiora: Whatever.  

Ben: According to the map there's a lake nearby. So let's go there before we reach the Gym.

Taiora: Alright. But shouldn't we be battling stronger opponents than fish?

Ben: Not fish. Mammals.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: Just come on.

Taiora: So mind if I ask where we're going after Norwalk?

Ben: Whichever town with a Pokemon Gym is closet to it.

Taiora: How did I know you were going to say that?

Ben: Because it was predictable.

Taiora: So we're just town hopping until we have enough Badges for the League?

Ben: Not quite. There's one detour I'm making at some point.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: Never mind for now.

Taiora: Is this detour in any way related to your whole thing with Shayla?

Ben: Yeah. But for the time being we're challenging Pokemon Gyms.

Taiora: Alright.

Ben: At any rate Taiora I want you to be ready for all of our battles. And not just you, everyone.

(He unleashes all of his Pokemon and they stop for a rest)

Ben: Alright you guys. As soon as we reach lake Colechester we're searching for more Pokemon. Who wants first crack at fishing?

(Dead silence)

Ben:....Okay then.

Taiora: You only have one fishing rod.

Ben: Fair enough.

Fern: We haven't even gotten there yet too. What exactly did you wanna do now?  

Ben: We fan out and search for any more Pokemon. If you find any send me a message. Two way pagers for everyone.

(He distributes two way pagers to his Pokemon and Taiora hands one to Wormy, realizing he cant move)

Wormy:.............

Taiora: Fine I'll carry your ass.

(He picks Wormy up and the search commences)

Ben thinking: I wonder if there's anything out here. It just seems like a small place.

Ben: Hey Taiora! Find anything?

Taiora: No because I'm carrying Wormy.

Ben: Damn it. Fern?

(He uses his two way pager and learns Fern has also come up with nothing)

Ben:..........Where the hell is everything?

(Back to Taiora and Wormy)

Wormy: You think we should just regroup and continue the walk? I don't see anything Taiora.

Taiora: Give us ten minutes and then we'll regroup.

Wormy: Fair enough.

Taiora: Yeah.

(He sets Wormy down and sits down)

Wormy: What's wrong?

Taiora: Wormy. Do you think we'll be alright like this?

Wormy: Why are you worrying? Our master has obtained two Badges and five Pokemon including us.

Taiora: That isn't the point. I meant what else we're going after.

Wormy: Well I don't know about your dream but I know I'll be on stage one day.

Taiora: You're a cocoon.

Wormy: You think I'll be a cocoon forever?

Taiora: Whatever.

Wormy: What's the matter?

Taiora: It's our Trainer.

Wormy: Is it about Shayla?

Taiora: Yeah.

Wormy: Why are you so worked up? It's his deal not ours. Besides once he becomes a Pokemon Master she won't be able to look down on him or turn his ass down any longer. Don't you think Taiora?

Taiora: Again that's not the point Wormy. From what it looks like she's put him through a lot. I'm still trying to figure out why....

Wormy: Figure out what?  

Taiora: Why does he love her in the first place? Where did all of this begin? If he puts up with all of this there has to be a good reason for it don't you think?  

Wormy: How should I know? They met before any of us knew him.

Taiora: You think I was asking you that out loud?

Wormy: Who else are you talking to? The trees?

Taiora: Let's go Wormy.

Wormy: You wanna resume the search?

(Taiora points directly behind Wormy revealing a Nidorino stampede)

Wormy: What the hell?!

Taiora: LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE NOW!

(He takes Wormy and runs like hell)

Wormy: What are we going to do now?

Taiora: Find Benayla and get the hell out of this place. What else?

Wormy: Faster damn it! They're getting closer.

Taiora: I can't run any faster because I'm carrying your ass around Wormy.

(Harold appears out of nowhere, running alongside them)

Harold: Sorry about this guys.

Taiora: What the hell did you do?

Harold: I found a Nidoran and paged Ben, then battled it. But then it evolved and called over these guys.

Taiora:......This is the second time you've gotten me into trouble Harold. And if these Nidorino don't Double Kick your slimy stupid ass I will.

Harold: I thought we were all friends here.

Wormy: Shut up and run you guys.

Taiora: You guys run. I'll handle this.

(He throws Wormy to Harold and turns back to the stampede)

Taiora: FUZAKERUNA!!

(He uses Thunderbolt into the stampede with little effect)

Taiora thinking: Damn it.

Harold: Taiora come on.

Taiora:.........

(He continues running)

Taiora thinking: This isn't going to end well. There are too many of these things.

(They reach a dead end)

Harold: We're going to die.

Wormy: Correction. You're going to die.

(The Nidorino surround them)

Taiora: We don't want any trouble you guys. We're just leaving.

Nidorino: Shut up. The blue one declared that he was with a Pokemon Master and compared to him I'm a little bitch.  

Harold: As a Nidoran you were little. But you're still a bitch.

Taiora(Glares at Harold): You are the stupidest living organism I have ever known.

Nidorino: He won't be living for much longer. Let's go men.

Ben: TAIORA!

(Taiora Thunderbolts the Nidorino that are directly in front of him)

Ben: What the hell happened?

Taiora: Harold insulted a deadly and aggressive Pokemon.

Nidorino: So you're the Pokemon Master that the tadpole spoke of?

Ben: Not yet.

Nidorino: Kill them all.

(It jumps at Taiora and Ben takes the hit, the Poison Pin Pokemon's horn going right through his hand)

Taiora:.....Benayla.

Ben: Screw you. Until I do become a Pokemon Master. Until I become who I'm meant to be. Until I stand beside Shayla Maxwell I don't care what happens. I'm not going to die.

Taiora: You're right. And until your goals are met neither will I.

Harold: Damn right.

Taiora: Shut up. It's your fault we're in this mess.

Wormy: And I.....

Taiora: Huh?

Wormy: And until I rock on stage in front of the entire state of Iowa there's no way in hell I'm dying either!! You stupid punks wanna fight? You're all going DOWN!!

(Wormy evolves into Butterfree)

Nidorino(Pulls himself away from Ben): Aw hell. Run you guys!

Wormy: TOO LATE MORON! CONFUSION FOR ALL OF YOU!

(Wormy defeats all of them by using Confusion)

Ben: Wow. That was really cool.

Harold: Word. Thanks Wormy. I take back what I said when we first met. You're alright.

Wormy: I'm not saving your ass next time Harold.

Taiora: Yeah. Next time you pull this you're on your own.

Harold: Fair enough.

Ben: Well at least you got Wormy to evolve.

Ben's Pokedex: Butterfree, the Butterfly Pokemon. Its powder covered wings allow it to fly in rain. It can release these powders into the air to repel predators.

Ben: Awesome.  

(Fern and Ember show up)

Fern: I could feel that Confusion from two feet away Wormy. Damn it that hurt.

Wormy: Sorry about that.

Ember: Well it didn't hurt me.

Fern: You're not a Poison Type.

Ben: Well anyway. Let's continue our walk shall we?

Taiora: What about your hand?

Ben: I've got some antidote in my backpack. Alright everyone. Come back.

(He recalls Harold, Fern and Ember)

Wormy: Would now be a good time to mention I can see Norwalk from where I'm flying?

Ben: Awesome. Lead the way Rock Star.

Taiora: Yeah.



After a stale brush on Harold's account Wormy evolves yet again into a beautiful butterfly and is ready to rock out whatever challenges he and his Trainer may face in the future. The third Gym Battle in the next chapter of Pokemon Benayla Version.
