Pokemon Benayla Version chapter thirty six

Another chapter once again. Here we go.



Title: JOURNEY TO THE BEST



Taiora: So where are we going now?

Ben: According to some of the people around here there's a guy in town that teaches a Psychic Type move to Pokemon.

Taiora: And which Pokemon are we teaching it to? Casper?

Ben: No. Remember her Pokemon could use Psychic too. I need to use one that isn't weak to it themselves.

Taiora: Then who did you withdraw from the box?

Ben: Come on out!!

(He unleashes Harold the Poliwag)

Harold: Finally back. Yeah!

Taiora: Damn it. Why HIM?!

Ben: Because he can learn the move we need. Now let's go find this guy.

Harold: Where are we going?

Ben: To the outskirts of this town.

Harold: Why?

Taiora: We lost against this town's Gym Leader so we need you to learn a Move that can defeat her Pokemon.

Harold: So we're off to see the wizard then?

Ben: Not a wizard. A Magic man.

Taiora: Whatever. Where is this guy anyway?

Ben: He lives on the edge of town. It's going to take a little while to reach him.

Harold: That gives you more time to get me up to speed on what's gone on since you put me in the box.

Taiora: Benayla got five Badges and Bulbasaur and Charmander evolved. We've also got a lot more Pokemon now.

Harold: I see. Such as?

Taiora: A lot of them. Lets just leave it at that.

Ben: Pokemon you'll both be meeting soon enough.

(The walk begins)

Harold: This town is so lively too. Walking normally isn't something I'm good at but here it's easy for me.

Taiora: There's a body of water right next to us running through Pella. Why not just swim?

Harold: I don't trust man made bodies of water.

Taiora: Who says it's man made?

Ben: What is it with you two?

Taiora: He got us chased by a stampede of Nidorino remember?

Harold: Wormy saved us though.

Taiora: And Wormy isn't on our team anymore. He joined a band.

Harold: I see. In that case the next time I see a wild Pokemon I won't insult them.

Taiora: Hiding behind someone else. Hey Benayla, are you sure about using him to battle Rachel?

Ben: Yeah. I am.

Harold: Who now?

Ben: The Gym Leader of this town defeated me a while ago. We're looking for this guy so he can teach you a move that'll help us win the rematch.

Harold: Slightly less than splendid. What am I going up against?

Ben: Ghost Type Pokemon. Two of her three Pokemon are Haunter and Gengar.

Harold:..........

(Taiora grabs him by the tail as he attempts to run away)

Taiora: Don't even try Harold. I'm not in a good mood.

Harold: What's the matter with YOU all of a sudden Pikachu? I'm the one who's going to have to fight ghosts.

Taiora:.......

Ben: What's wrong? Taiora?

Taiora:.......

Shayla's words repeated: If you really think we belong together. Prove that at the end.

Taiora: Benayla......Aren't you worried about what Shayla said before?

Ben: Of course I am. More than I've ever been.

Taiora: Then how are you so calm about this?! It looks like you might lose her forever. So how are you just calmly going through this?

Ben: Because if I falter at all that'll be the end of it. I'm seeing this through to the end without wavering. If I would lose my cool just because of what she said I wouldn't have gotten this far with Shayla. And it's come to this because I love her. No, I'm not going to just give up on the person who matters most to me.

Taiora: Benayla....

Harold: Still speaking of Shayla right? Why doesn't that surprise me at all?

Taiora: If that's how you feel I'll face all of this the same way. No matter what happens. We'll....

Ben: For now lets just focus on finding who we're looking for. There will be plenty of time to face Shayla soon enough.

Taiora: Yeah.

Harold: And I'll be watching all of that go down from right behind you.

Taiora: Ten feet away I assume.

Harold: I'm serious.

Taiora: I am too.

Ben: This is a path I have to walk alone you guys. But let's give it a rest for now. We've arrived.

Taiora: Huh?

(They arrive at an old house)

Taiora: So who is this guy again?

Ben: The people here apparently call him “Mister Psychic”. Hence his name he claims to have psychic powers. But no one really takes his word for it.

Harold: If it's like THAT why are we here?

Ben: Something else I heard about him.

Taiora: Which is?

Ben: Let's go.

(He knocks on the door, which opens on its own)

Ben:......

Taiora: We going in there?

Ben: Yeah.

(They enter the house. The door closing on its own)

Taiora: You think he was expecting us?

Harold: If he has psychic powers maybe he predicted we'd be here.

Ben: Stay close you guys. I have a bad feeling about this.

Voice: I heard about you and that other Trainer defeating those two idiots who used Fighting Type Pokemon.

Ben: Are you the one they called “Mister Psychic”.

Voice: Yes. But that is just this town's name for me.

(An old man appears out of nowhere. Holding a Pokeball in one hand and a spoon in the other)

Geller: You my boy can call me “Geller”. I came here to hone my psychic abilities.

Taiora: Psychic abilities?

Geller: That's right Pikachu. After I found a Pokemon with the exact same powers as me.

(He unleashes a Kadabra)

Ben's Pokedex: Kadabra, The Psi Pokemon, and the Evolved Form of Abra. This Pokemon is said to emit waves of psychic energy that effect living beings nearby.

Ben: A Psychic Pokemon for a Psychic human. I see.

Kadabra: I'm the one with psychic powers, HE doesn't have any.

Geller: Yes I do. Come on.

(He holds his spoon up)

Geller: I can bend spoons with my mind. So when I arrived in this country I was baffled to discover a Pokemon with the same ability. So here I am.

Kadabra: And I'm baffled that you came up with that story. So here I go.

(Kadabra bends the spoon in Geller's hand with its psychic powers)

Geller: HEY!!

Kadabra: Fool. A human cannot possess a Pokemon's power.

Taiora: If you look down on him why are you here?

Kadabra: He captured me anyway. So it's not like I can leave.

Geller: Anyway. I assume you're here because you discovered your psychic abilities too?

Ben: Not exactly.

Geller: Then how did you defeat those Fighting Types? When I heard about that I knew you must have had some psychic powers considering that's their weakness.  

Kadabra: I'll say it again, humans don't possess that power. And it's not their only weakness. Flying Type attacks work equally as well against Fighting Type Pokemon.

Ben: Actually we both used Fire Types.

Geller: State your business then.

Ben: I lost against this town's Gym Leader. While she's a Ghost Type Trainer her Pokemon are also Poison Types too. The other Type that's weak against Psychic attacks.

Geller: I see. I believe I have just the thing for you.

(He pulls out a Technical Machine)

Geller: Don't say a word. I predict that this is what you came here for. This machine will teach your Pokemon the ultimate Psychic Type attack.

Kadabra: The Move with the same NAME as it's Type that is. It's also called “Psychic”. But I believe that Gym Leader's Pokemon know the Move as well.

Geller: I myself would battle that Trainer too. But you need three Pokemon while I only have one.

Kadabra: Like I would battle for you. However.

(Kadabara Teleports directly in front of them)

Kadabara: Even if it's in the hands of my master I won't allow anyone to learn that Move unless they prove themselves. Defeat me in battle first.

Ben: Harold.

(He steps forth)

Kadabra: Poliwag? You're kidding right?

Harold: Do I really have to? I fought with an Abra a long while ago and I didn't stand a chance. So now....

Kadabra: If you lost to an Abra you won't last at all. You might as well just leave now.

Ben: If I would do that I wouldn't have come here in the first place. Bubble Beam.

(Harold fires bubbles at Kadabra)

Geller: Barrier.

(Kadabra blocks Bubble Beam)

Ben: Double Slap.

(Kadabra blocks it with Reflect)

Harold: Are you actually going to attack me?

Kadabra: I'm not going to waste my strength on a Pokemon that isn't worth it.

Harold: What's THAT suppose to mean?

Kadabra: If you think about it this battle is pointless. Since you lost to my pre evolved form you shouldn't REALLY think you're capable of defeating me. So do you?

Harold: Of course I do.

Ben: The only reason Abra defeated you is because it knew Thunderbolt. And now you're stronger than before Harold.

Harold: Yeah. I know that.

Taiora: Slightly.

Harold: Who asked YOU Pikachu?

Ben: Face it and use Water Gun.

Geller: Kinesis.

(Water Gun is diverted away from Kadabra and into a cup Geller's holding)

Geller: Perfect.

Kadabra: You're welcome.

Harold: If you're trying to insult me just say so.

Kadabra: I did already you fool.

Harold: You haven't used a single damaging Move for the entire battle. Who's the fool?

Kadabra: I'm blocking your attacks. I COULD damage you if I wanted to but like I said I refuse to get serious against a Pokemon that isn't worth it. If I really WAS serious you'd be out cold already.

Harold: OH YEAH?!

(Harold glows with purple light)

Taiora: What the hell?

Harold: Even If you refuse to get serious I won't. I'm kicking your telekinetic ass. With my own Psychic Type Move.

Ben: What the hell?

Ben's Pokedex: Amnesia. This Move causes a memory lapse that increases the user's Special Stat.

Taiora: You already knew a Psychic Type Move?

Ben: Harold, you....

Harold: Ben, I'm sorry about that time those Nidorino attacked us. Sorry that your hand got hurt because of me. I'm getting serious now because I'm sick of being a burden. I won't be dead weight anymore!!

(He fires a Hydro Pump at Kadabra)

Geller: Use Psychic.

(Kadabra distorts Hydro Pump with Psychic. Causing it to explode everywhere)

Kadabra thinking: Where'd he go?

(Harold jumps in front of Kadabra)

Kadabra: But that attack should have knocked you out. How are you still awake?

Harold: Amnesia is a Move that can defend me against attacks like that. You're the one who's getting knocked out.

Ben: Hydro Pump again!!

(Harold defeats Kadabra with Hydro Pump)

Geller: Kadabra. Are you okay?

Kadabra: Damn you....

(He passes out)

Geller: Very well then. As promised here you go my boy.

(He sets the Technical Machine in Harold's tail and he walks back with it to hand it to Ben)

Ben: I'm glad we came here. We've all gotten a little stronger.

Harold: Damn straight. I think I'm ready for that Gym Battle now.    

Taiora: Wait. If you were this powerful why didn't you just defeat those Nidorino back then?

Harold: Because I wasn't this powerful back then. Huh?

(He begins vibrating)

Ben: What the?

(Harold evolves into Poliwhirl)

Harold: Hell yeah!!

Ben's Pokedex: Congratulations. Your Harold evolved into Poliwhirl.

Ben: Awesome.

Taiora: Yeah. Thanks man.

Geller: No problem boys. When you leave this town tell as many people you can about our battle.

Harold: Yeah. Whatever.

(The door opens and the three of them wave back to Geller as they leave)

Ben: That was good. Anyway.

(He uses the TM29 on Harold)

Ben: There. Now you know the only damaging Move Kadabra used.

Harold: So now I'm ready to defeat this town's Gym Leader.

Taiora: Earlier you said you feared ghosts.

Harold: Now that I've evolved I don't anymore. And like I said I refuse to be a burden.

Ben: I see. Well just don't overdo it my friend.

Taiora: And you shouldn't under do it when it comes to Shayla.

Ben: I never have and I never will.
