Pokemon Benayla Version chapter twenty seven

Right after that party chapter we have this one.



Title: THE CITY OF KNOXVILLE.



Ben: Alright. Since he got sick last night I've stored Casper in the box. Let's go.

Taiora: Right.

Ben: You guys sure know how to party like I do.

Taiora: Damn right. I bet people are talking about it right now.

Ben: I bet they'll be speaking of this one for years. Especially since more people saw it than the time we met.

Taiora: What are you talking about?

Ben: Nothing*.

*=The twenty sixth chapter got more views on its first day than the very first chapter has gotten so far. The views it got in several months were exceeded by the previous chapter's views in several hours. Why is that again?

Ben: Anyway. Chances are we're going to run into something sooner or later.

Taiora: I hear you. Whether it be someone else that needs our help. Or maybe a rampaging Pokemon.

Ben: I meant another ambush.

Taiora: Cassie said she'd leave us alone after you lost consciousness that time. I don't think we'll be seeing her again.

Ben: Hopefully.

Taiora: But anyway. I do think we need to get stronger. But the only way we can do that is battling.

Ben: Well then. We'll have to see how the Knoxville Gym Leader is. Hopefully his Pokemon will be a good work out.

Taiora: I have no idea honestly. You know come to think of it even though Josh used Water Pokemon you didn't use me.

Ben: Because I figured you needed more rest.

Taiora: Whatever.

Ben: And Fern evolved last night so that's good. But we still need more than that.

Taiora: So what DO we do?

Ben: We go.

Taiora: Where?

Ben: Over there.

(He points to a small forest)

Taiora: And?

Ben: There are probably Pokemon in there too.

Taiora: But need I remind you that last time we went into a forest we ended up meeting Cassie.

Ben: This time we won't. So come on.

Taiora: Fine.

(They enter the forest)

Ben: Now. Lets find us another Pokemon.

Taiora: Yeah.

(They keep walking while someone's watching)

Ben: See anything?

Taiora: No.

Ben: Well the sun just came up so I would assume we'd see something.

Taiora:......................

Ben: Sense something?

Taiora: Yeah.

(A Pidgey approaches them)

Ben: Just a Pidgey?

Ben's Pokedex: Pidgey. The Tiny Bird Pokemon. When attacked it blinds its attacker with sand instead of fighting back. It is normally found in the wilderness.

Ben: Ready Taiora?

Taiora: I fail to see this as a challenge but I guess so.

Pidgey(Lifts its wing): Hold up.  

Ben: Why?

(Its Trainer shows up)

Bird Keeper: I came here for bird watching. But I guess my bird was watching you.

Ben: I see. Well let's go then.

Bird Keeper: Right.

Ben: Taiora.

Bird Keeper: Pidgey, Sky Attack.

(Pidgey's body begins glowing)

Ben: Thunderbolt!

(Taiora Thunderbolts Pidgey)

Bird Keeper: NOW!!

(Pidgey Sky Attacks Taiora)

Ben: Skull Bash.

Bird Keeper: Sky Attack.

(Taiora lowers his head and Pidgey glows, then they clash)

Ben: Looks like we're evenly matched.

Bird Keeper: Not quite.

(Pidgey evolves into Pidgeotto)

Taiora: Damn it!! What the hell?

Ben's Pokedex: Pidgeotto. The Bird Pokemon. And the evolved form of Pidgey. It flies around searching for prey to return to its nest. Unlike its pre evolved form it possesses an aggressive personality.

Ben: You were setting us up for this weren't you?!

Bird keeper: Not quite.

Taiora: Damn you!

(He blasts Pidgeotto with Thunderbolt)

Bird Keeper: Wing Attack!!

(Pidgeotto Wing Attacks Taiora)

Bird Keeper: Now Quick Attack!!

(Pidgeotto rams Taiora)

Ben: Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt!!

(Taiora blasts Pidgeotto with two Electric Attacks, defeating it)

Bird Keeper: Damn it.

Ben: Taiora can easily resist Flying Type Moves but Pidgeotto can't do that with electricity.

Taiora: Well those Moves did damage anyway.

Ben: Well. It was amazing that this bird was able to last as long as it did anyway.

Bird Keeper: You okay pal?

Pidgeotto: Right in the mouth, every morning the same thing.

Taiora:.......Oooookay.....

(Pidgeotto is returned to its Pokeball)

Bird Keeper: I came here to train after being defeated by Knoxville's Gym Leader. I was only trying to impress my friends and I completely wiped out against that guy.

Taiora: Well that's where we're headed. So where is this place anyway?

Bird Keeper: Just up ahead. Follow the road out of this forest and you'll find it.

Ben: Right. Thanks.

(They leave)

Ben: I suppose that means the next Gym Leader is stronger than the others we've defeated.

Taiora: It's not like that bird was very strong though.

Ben: Fair enough. But still.

Taiora: That was a waste of time.

Ben: Barely.

Taiora: You know what Benayla? I feel as if we're going absolutely nowhere.

Ben: What are you talking about? The town we're headed for is directly in front of us.

Taiora: Again I mean with Shayla. She's definitely hiding something. But what do you think it is?

Ben: No idea. And I'm not going to lie to you my friend, I don't know about her in the past, but right now, I'm the one who's scared.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben: Shayla Maxwell means the world to me. The reason I forgave her for everything. All that matters to me is that we're together. There's no doubt in my mind that we're meant to be, there never will be. Our entire conflict over the years has always ruptured me more than anything else. And now....

Taiora: What is it?

Ben: For the first time since before, I felt like I was losing her forever. Which....Is the only thing I fear the most. She even knows that too. Losing all we have, her throwing all of it away. Reliving all of that pain before. You should be able to imagine how I'm feeling about this now.

Taiora: Why do you love her to begin with?

Ben: Huh?

Taiora: I get all of it. What you two have. Everything it means to you. That you want to be with her forever. But where did that start BEFORE that moment of yours? Why do you love her in the first place? And When exactly did you realize those feelings went beyond a High School crush?

Ben: That's difficult to explain. But I'll try.

Taiora: I'm listening.

Ben: As I told you before, the two of us hung out often after school during Eighth and Ninth Grade. When I was with her I felt something there. Between the two of us. Like....I wanted it to be like this forever.

Taiora: What exactly did you two talk about anyway?

Ben: Just stuff in our lives. But more to the point, we understood each other. More than we did anyone else in that entire school, I found someone I never wanted to lose.

Taiora: Those feelings of yours, maybe a better question is....Was it ever just a crush?

Ben: Maybe not. I must have realized they ran that deep somewhere. Shayla even asked me that over Facebook. But the truth is I don't know exactly when.

Taiora: It came naturally?

Ben: No....We both should have realized that when I refused to give up on her. If it really was just a “Crush” we wouldn't be where we are now.

Taiora: But it sucks that it took her problem with trust to make you realize all of that.

Ben: Taiora....The reason I love Shayla is because she's the one for me. That's all there is to it. But the reasons for all of that are....

Taiora: Are what?

Ben: Above everything, I love being near her, more than anyone in my entire life. Because she's the one I feel right with.

Taiora: I understand. You didn't want to lose any of that. Losing her forever would....

Ben(Clenches fist): I would MUCH rather be dead, than lose her. No, to me that would be the same thing.

Taiora: I see....  

Ben: But the fact that she and I are meant for each other. I told you before I wasn't the only one who felt that way for long. Eventually friends, both her's and mine, and even random kids, agreed with me. Saying that we should go out. I don't know about her's, but my friends would sometimes just call us “Benayla”. As if we were a couple already.

Taiora: And that's why you called yourself that on the day we met.

Ben: Well you call me that anyway.

Taiora: Yeah. That's true.

Ben: More than anything I want us to be together. The one I want most in this world, is her.

Taiora: That must be it.

Ben: What?

Taiora: When you realized your feelings were more than a crush. It must have been through all of that.

Ben: Good point. No, I know you're right about that for a fact.

Taiora: Yeah. You know something? I think you two belong together too. I should've said something like “Next time you see her, I wont let her leave until you've asked her out”.

Ben:......

Taiora: But....I'm a Pikachu. So I don't know what I could do for that. I meant From the story about you two, you and her are like A Fairy Tale couple. Except in the High School sense. That's what I think.

Ben: As I felt. You really are like that person. Taiora.

Taiora: What are you talking about?

Ben: Like I said. Many of my friends saw that she and I belong together. But among them there was only one that truly knew that Shayla means the world to me. And when things began getting bad they were among the only ones who didn't just turn a blind eye to that. Whose will wasn't broken when the conflict started.  

Taiora: That's idiotic. If they say you belong together why just forget that just because things get heavy?

Ben: Some kids are weak, I guess. But to me, I had finally gotten to be that close to the person I loved. I wasn't just going to give up on that. I never will.

Taiora: What about.....

Ben: After I got to put my arm around Shayla Maxwell. After I finally realized I found the person I wanted to be with forever. After I resolved that I'd never ever lose her. That's when The words I'll always remember were spoken.

Taiora: Huh?

Ben(Closes eyes): “I promise Benayla will win” they said. “No matter what happens from now on, no matter how difficult everything gets from here. Ben, I promise you that you'll be with Shayla even if it costs me my existence. No Mistake....”

Taiora:.....

Ben: No Mistake....Yeah.

Taiora: And then....

Ben: And then things went even worse between me and the girl I loved.

Taiora: I see.

Ben: Anyway. We should probably get going. Our next battle awaits us.

Taiora: What happened to that friend of yours? The one who promised you that. We've been seeing so many of your High School friends so when will THEY show up?

Ben:..............

Taiora:...........

Ben: You won't find them here anymore, Taiora.

Taiora: Why not?

Ben: Let's just go.

Taiora: Right.

(They leave the forest)
